Precautions for liquid ammonia in the production and use of stainless steel

Precautions for liquid ammonia in the production and use of stainless steel
In the stainless steel production process, many companies use liquid ammonia as the annealing protective gas when annealing after cold rolling. However, liquid ammonia is a toxic gas, which is a dangerous chemical. A slight negligence in use and management can easily leak. Once leaked, it will cause ammonia poisoning. In mild cases, there will be burning sensation in the eyes and nose, runny nose, cough, and sound. Hoarseness, headache, throat edema, severe cases can cause central nervous system paralysis, causing reflex laryngospasm or rapid death due to respiratory arrest. The illegal use of liquid ammonia is mainly concentrated in 2 areas:

    1. First of all, the liquid ammonia is not properly placed. Empty and full liquid ammonia bottles are mixed in the production workshop at the same time. There is no special liquid ammonia storage room. Once leakage occurs, the workers in the workshop will be in danger of life.

    2. The second is the imperfect protective facilities. Many liquid ammonia storage rooms do not have matching anti-leakage devices. Liquid ammonia operators do not wear gas masks, and other workshop workers do not have gas masks.
