Siemens’ first double H-class gas turbine project in China will be put into operation

On May 8, we learned from siemens energy that Siemens Energy’s first double set H-class gas turbine project in China will be put into operation. The project is called Guangzhou Zengcheng gas cooling, heating and power cogeneration project, which is invested and constructed by Huadian Fuxin (00816. HK). The direct operator of the project is Huadian Fuxin Guangzhou Energy Co., Ltd.
Siemens energy provided Huadian Fuxin Guangzhou Energy Co., Ltd. with two sgt5-8000h heavy duty gas turbines, two steam turbines and four generators. On May 3, the No.1 sgt5-8000h heavy duty gas turbine provided by siemens energy for the project has been successfully ignited for the first time. This is Siemens’ first H-class gas turbine in mainland China.
Siemens energy insiders told reporters that Guangzhou Zengcheng project is China’s first double set H-class gas turbine project, unit 2 has entered the installation stage, and the two H-class heavy-duty gas turbines used are produced in Germany. “The H-class gas turbine weighs 445 tons, equivalent to the weight of an Airbus A380 full of oil, with a power of 400MW comparable to 1300 turbocharged engines of the Porsche 911.” Emad Ghaly, CEO of Siemens Egypt, once described the sgt5-8000h heavy duty gas turbine.
